ESI U86 XT / U168 XT / U108 PRE macOS beta driver

This is a beta driver supporting macOS 11 BigSur and macOS 12 Monterey.

This means that certain limitations (see below) and possibly problems are to be expected. You can participate in driver testing to help our further development of this new driver platform that was developed from scratch to support macOS 11 BigSur and macOS 12 Monterey. If you have any issues or you want to report something about our driver, you can send an email to info@esi-audio.com and/or contact our technical support.

Release notes:

  • this is a beta driver supporting macOS 11 BigSur and macOS 12 Monterey
  • works with both Intel and M1 CPU based systems
  • not all functions are implemented and will be added with future updates
  • all analog audio I/O is supported
  • digital input and output (U86 XT and U168 XT) are not supported yet
  • MIDI input and output (U86 XT and U168 XT) are not supported yet
  • there is no control panel application
  • works with Audio MIDI Setup utility from Apple
